DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

The following questions are for week 9
Use these for comments, chat, or small-group responses:
1.  Why does Paul describe the Sword of the Spirit as an offensive weapon, and how does that change the way you think about using Scripture in your daily life?
2. In the lesson, we learned the difference between logos (the whole Word of God) and rhema (a specific spoken word). How can speaking a specific verse out loud help you fight temptation or fear?
3.  During the comic scene, each character defeated darkness by quoting Scripture. What does this teach you about the power of God’s Word when you face your own battles?
4.  Susan said that keeping God’s Word in our hearts and on our lips helps us walk out of every fight as victors, not victims. What is one area of your life where you need to start using Scripture more intentionally?
5.  Hebrews 4:12 says God’s Word is “alive and active.” What does that mean to you personally, and how have you seen God’s Word make a difference in your thoughts, choices, or identity?
Power Source Challenge
This week, choose one verse from today’s lesson and speak it out loud every day as your Sword of the Spirit. Let that specific Scripture cut through any lie, fear, or confusion the enemy tries to throw at you. Watch how God’s truth shifts your thoughts and strengthens your confidence in real time.

Where I need God’s strength!
Identify one area where the enemy hits you with doubt, pressure, or mental fog, and bring it honestly before God. Ask Him for strength to answer those attacks with “It is written,” just like Jesus did. Let His Word become the truth that steadies your heart and clears your mind.
